ive a freind that wa t to come hunting with me in area 257, on 2nd weekend. but she want to hunt 1st.weekend north of viking mn, in a different area? is this possible?
MY DEER IS BIGGER THAN GLENS!!

i called, did thi k id get thru. 1 lisence state wide, any area, unless special zone is indicate.  but must follow rules of are hunting

Viking is area 264 and it doesn't look like it is any special area.  Like Brother Boar said.  Should be the same area with same seasons.  Your areas touch at TRF..

i hunt 257, but she has to follow 257 rules wen she ther, and 256 rules when she ther

ive never deer hunted any other area in my life, so i just follow 257 ruels, really dont worry about anyther areas /that why i poseted, fkn book k is to vauge 99 % of the time

256 is a managed area.
257 is a intensive deer area.


Managed Deer Areas
If you hunt a managed deer area, you may take a deer of either sex. No application for
an either-sex permit is necessary.
In the following areas, firearm, archery, and muzzleloader hunters may take deer of either
sex on their regular license and purchase bonus permits to take antlerless deer: 101, 155,
184, 201, 219, 222, 229, 232, 233, 239, 254, 255, 256, 258, 260, 261, 273, 276, 287, 292,
293, 298, 338A, 338B, 339A, 339B, 342A, 342B, 344A, and 344B.

Intensive Deer Areas
If you hunt an intensive deer area, you may take a deer of either sex. No application
for an either-sex permit is necessary. In the following areas, firearm, archery, and
muzzleloader hunters may take a deer of either sex on their regular license and
purchase bonus permits to take antlerless deer: 105, 182, 209, 213, 214, 215, 221, 223,
225, 227, 236, 240, 241, 257, 263, 264, 265, 267, 268, 341A, 341B, 343A, and 343B.
