Morning boys. 35 and foggy here this morning. I guess we might get some rain here last I heard. 4 of us made the adventure across the lake fishing yesterday. Fishing was so so, but we had fun. The weather was awesome. Sunny most of the day and just a light breeze. Didn't need to wear a jacket most of the day. It was a little sloppy on the ride back. My Otter sled was full of slush from the track throwing it on it. Started to get mighty heavy. I will need to finish emptying that out today. Otherwise just another day in Paradise. Have a good one.

Mornin' gang! 50 at choretime heading for a hi in the low 60's. It made 55 yesterday after they predicted mid-60's earlier in the day so we shall see. Supposed to rain sometime today as well but the NWS keeps dithering about how much. Have to tag, dock and vaccinate lambs, then off to work a Lions pancake feed, then have a visitation following that. Sometime today I need to work on getting the electric fence back in order, where the snow isn't still on it anyway. Got the posts yesterday and they don't do much good in the pickup. Have a good un!

Good Morning Y'all!

Seems like the only real time I have to catch up on here lately is the weekends...which sucks cause i always seem to miss something.

Anyways....I planned on get out on some late ice yesterday, but it rained all flippen day. I wasn't gonna sit out in that crap.

Just got back from town, grocery shopping and a few things from Menards. Fog is just starting to lift, and the turkeys are strutting in the back yard. I have a wood working project I was gonna do yesterday (cause I didn't go fishing) but was low on some lumber, hence the run to Menards today.

So, the dilemma now is to either go down and see how bad the lake is, to see if I can even get on anymore or do my project. The rain is suppose to return this afternoon....decisions, decisions...

Well I hope you all have a great day.....any while yur doing it, think on weather we should have a open water fishing contest this year or not?

Morning guys, it’s national beer day. I had all kind of things planned for today but I went shopping and when I got home half of the bottle of apple cider vinegar leaked all through my trunk  :angry2: so I had to clean that mess out and I’m saying the hell with what I was going to do and just enjoy nation beer day. Y’all have a good day.

Morning dudes. 52* and cloudy drizzly. Waiting for the rain and t-storms. Hit 59* late yday after the morjits yapped all day it was 67* They need a new thermometer. Badly. Fired up the Toro and the riding mower, sharpened and balanced the blades, aired up the tires, etc. Friggin' rider didn't want to start, wore the battery down to almost a nub. Finally got smart and decided to check the 4 friggin' safety start switches....yup, the button had popped out under the mulch plate cover, which has to be on to run. Pushed it back in and it fired right up.
Now I'm ready to mow the next four days of rain and snow that are coming.........

Whoa...could be.....

St. Paul/Mpls:/Cold Springs

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

The potential for a significant late season winter storm is
increasing for mid to late week. Heavy snow accumulations are
possible over most of the area Wednesday night into early Friday.
Strong winds may also result in blowing snow. Rain or a mix of
rain and snow is expected at the onset Tuesday night and
Wednesday. Therefore, total snowfall amounts are impossible to
predict at this time. Depending on the track of the storm and
precipitation type, travel could be severely impacted by Thursday
across parts of the Upper Midwest.

Moderate flooding will continue at some points along area rivers
into next week.

Good morning boys.  Finally checking in with ya.  Had a good time at the Bemidji Sports Show.  Bought a Shimano Ultegra 2500.  Normally 150 got it for 120 and no tax.  Got it at the 1000 Lakes Sporting Goods in Grand Rapids.  Great guys.  He is the nephew of Jeff Arnold of Reeds.  Jeff taught him the ropes on sporting goods and it shows.  He knows his stuff.  Just wanted to put a plug in for him.  I also got me a bottle of CBD oil.  Yup I am on the green now.  LOL  Hempworx is the name of that company.  Supposed to be one of the best.  He said The U analyzed 10 different brands of it and 6 of them contained NO CBD oil.  They were one of the best.  Well I took 5 drops last night and 5 this morning and I haven't taken an Advil yet today.  ???  May be coincidence so we shall see.  $100 for a bottle that contains 1,000 drops.  SO should last around 100 days.  Just had BLT's for brunch and what a good idea that was.  I cooked the bacon in the oven Rebs.  Have enough left to have another BLT later on.

Well, I took a drive down to the lake. The ice don't look that bad yet.... but....some youngsters had a good time mudding on the road, and tore it up pretty good. I had to walk the last 1/4 mile just get there... I guess I'll have to pass.

So I drove to Aitkin and back. Holy crap was it foggy going past mille lacs. The temp on the car dropped 10 degrees and if you were lucky could maybe see 50 yards out onto the lake. Rained pretty good to. Wasn't near as foggy on the way back.

I also saluted the casino going both ways by graciously flipping them the bird!!! :rotflmao:

Morning fellers! I got a thrill this am... a fireball in the sky! (Not to be confused with Boar's fireball) Got up to hit the can a tad before 4:00 am, and happened to look out the window to the west. *FLASH* A big, bright, blue/white fireball with a greenish head, before it winked out, flashed across the sky for about a full  second. The heading was south to north; pretty flat trajectory with the horizon, about mid-horizon for height. Magnificent. Exactly 0400 hrs as the clocks all chimed. Bet ya coulda heard my "WTF WAS THAT?!!" for some distance.    Well, one more thing scratched off my bucket list. Been wanting to see a big fireball ever since I've been watching the skies. Filed a report right away with the AMA. (American Meteor society) First one in on it so far...they keep ya updated. This time of year is commonly known as "Fireball season" or "Spring Comet" season, which usually peaks in late of April with the Lyrid Meteor showers.
Boar, have you seen yer fireball today? :rotflmao:

Have a good one, guys, and keep yer eyes to the sky.  :coffee:

PS...I see another report came in on it from Cambridge, Minnesota a bit after mine.
