We are signed up and waiting for the results.  I talked to the people running the hunt and they said that less than 50 kids get turned away.  We have been very lucky and have gotten in every year.  You will be allowed to scout and hang stands on friday after the mandatory oriantation.  We stayed in the berricks (10 bucks per person per night).  They also feed you diner friday, sat night.  And breakfast sat and sun morning.

Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

Make your first shot count, it might be the only one you get.
