You are probably right Mike.  He obviously isn't very good at cutting trees down.  Surprising he was able to start it.

Ya, I have had a couple of ladder stands stolen on public land. Sure leaves a person with a bad taste in their mouth for fellow hunters. The 2nd I actually found the next spring. It had been moved about 300 yards to the north in the same woods. Was missing one of the ladder sections.
Hey look your bobber is up!

Criminals are sooo stupid.  I would think stealing from a hunter would be a bad idea.  If you get caught, they prolly have a gun on them.  Now what?    :banghead: :taz:  training-087 :fudd:

On a slightly related note, we unexpectedly found a ladder stand put up on a piece of land we were given permission to hunt, but when put up on the tree, it was missing parts.  The land owner tore it down, but over the next several hunts, as we walked in and out of the woods on the trail, we found most of those missing parts.  We imagined this guy dragging the new, boxed ladder stand thru the woods, with the bottom end of the box open, and parts and braces would slide out as he went.

I'm the idiot...

On the home page, scroll all the way down to the bottom, to the video...  What is that contraption that the ice fisherman is using?

Funny... using camera drones for scouting/hunting deer is illegal, but for fish... it is OK?

Oh that is what a live scope is?  An underwater drone?

I get ya.  And hunting ain't fishing.  I'm just trying to :woot: the pot.

Underwater cameras might be fun (I've never tried them), but like Cookie said, "With the live scope them poor fish have less of a chance than ever."

I remember one night on WCCO AM Dark Star had a show about is it moral to use the newer fish finders at the time.  Fun show.  Probably in the late 90's.  I think about it at times when new stuff like this comes out.  I did call in and had a great chat.  Was an honor to talk to him.

Another good vid down at the bottom of the home page - a continuation of last weeks.

It shows the mortality rate of crappies brought up from depths of greater than 25 feet.  This is important because guys can use forward scanning radar to easily locate deep, vulnerable schools of crappie.  Catch and release really doesn't work in this scenario as most released fish will die.
