A Big Lake man was arrested early Tuesday and could be charged with damaging a fish house and stealing a propane tank from another on Big Lake, Sherburne County Sheriff's Office Capt. Joel Brott said.
Deputies received a call that a vehicle was driving on the lake with no headlights. A deputy saw it moving slowly near several fish houses, Brott said, and approached the car on foot.
The vehicle sped away and the deputy gave chase, Brott said. Deputies established a perimeter around Big Lake and Mitchell Lake, Brott said.
The driver, Jeffrey Braun, 23, stopped near a fish house on Mitchell Lake and was arrested, Brott said.
Braun was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, fleeing a police officer and driving after revocation.
He also could be charged with crinimal damage to property and theft, Brott said.
