West Metro report w/ Pics

[Spinach]

We made it out to one of my favorite Metro Area lakes tonight, I will not disclose the name of the lake because it is very small and can not handle a lot of pressure.

It was me, my 4 year old Alex and my mom and dad, we made it on the water by 6pm and fished until 9pm. A lot of very nice Crappies were caught by everyone, we ended up with 4 limits of Crappies and 11 decent Sunnies, the Crappies ranged from 10" up to 13" and the Sunnies were all 9" that we kept.

My son had a blast, he prefers to catch the little tiny fish though, we had plenty of snacks for him and made him comfortable enough that he wanted to stay longer, he did ask if we could go back when he wakes up in the morning.....

All fish were caught in 14 FOW about 6-8 feet down on red/white tube jigs tipped with waxies or gulp, most of the fish were caught right under the boat with only a few coming in casting.

Great Pictures Spinach!  Looks like the whole family had a great day of fishing and you could not of asked for better weather!!  Wish I could of been there!!  I haven't fished since the 4th of July, so it's nice to see others out there catching some nice fish!  And does anyone ever tell you that your son looks like a minnie me of you!  My God, you look a lot alike!!  Thanks for sharing your pictures..and when are you going to come and make a pyramid with us?!!  It's been too long.. I can't take care of these guys all by myself you know!!  Well, we know that's not true, I can handle them..it's just been a while since we've seen you!!  Well whenever you get the chance..you know where we are!   gg

I'll be in the chatroom very soon, I'll try in the next day or so before I leave for Dallas, I've just been too busy lately with grad parties, baseball and softball and being in Phoenix for 2 weeks.

We are way over due in making a huge pyramid, but I'll bet that bonehead and a few others have kept up there end of the bargain.

I have a friend driving up from Iowa tomorrow and were both flying to Dallas on Sunday evening, we'll definitely do our part in a 10 base pyramid tomorrow night and just may be able to share some with you all in the chatroom.  ::cheers::

WOW !!  Great pics  PAT !!!  If this is the lake i am thinking of  ...    Man  the pictures  are priceless!!!  It is so cool that the family was able to make it out and have such a great time. .......  and catch fish !  thank you  for  sharing your family 's  fishing day with all of us.
