Ice thickness is 36 to 42 inches so bring your auger extension.

Best fishing is off the reefs in 27 to 31 feet for walleyes as the storm systems move through every day or two.

Deep fishing in 32 to 34 feet is also producing saugers during mid day after the storm fronts.

Travel is mostly on plowed roads and the shallow fishing is inconsistent with the heavy snow cover.

We need a good melt SOON, to improve shallow fishing.

We were up on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th.  Sunday fishing was okay with 8 keepers between 4 fisherman.  Many very small fish and nuisance bites.  Monday was horrible with 8 total fish caught all day.  We didn't even try Tuesday.  All in all we had fun, but the fishing wasn't what I had hoped for after a 5+ hour drive.
