Slabs in Ely??

In the past I have always heard about the giant crappies that people catch during the late ice season in the Ely area.

Anything going on right now?

There are slabs to be caught, although it's been very spotty lately. My top pick would be Low lake, up the Cloquet line. We've picked up a few in weeks past out of Garden and Farm, but nothing consistent.

Some guy was fishing by the bridge off garden where it flows to the dam, he said he has been catching them there? He just got there so i saw no fish tho..  Told him about MNO and left
