Tonight I found out why sewers use a thimble when they sew. In the last few months i've gained a few pounds and had to re-sew the buttons on 3 pair of shorts because the buttons popped off.

I went to JoAnn fabrics and bought a very cheap sewing kit, came home and started to sew the buttons back on, it took a little less than an hour to figure this sewing thing out, but i finally got the hang of it and got the job done. After i was done and cleaning the mess up, i realized I poked my thumb a few times, a little blood and a very sore thumb. :o Then i thought to myself, "thats why they sell them little thimbel thingys"
