A buddy of mine is in the process of getting a crossbow permit. If he gets it he will be looking for a crossbow. He will be looking in the $300-$500 range. Any recommendations on brand and what features to look for? Does MnArch carry crossbows and if so can they be tryed before buying? He called me a few minutes ago and asked me to find out about crossbows, so naturally I turn to MNO for some advice. I told him about MnArch and he said if he gets his permit he will want me to take him there this summer if they carry them. If he finds what he likes he will  most likely buy.

For Sure, we carry all major brands of crossbows.  Many of them are special order because of the fact there are so many..... and crossbow sales are quite a bit slower than regular compounds.  But I would recommend looking at some of the Horton stuff in that price range.  The Team Realtree 175 is our best seller and you can get it with a traditional scope or a red dot.  Bring him down or give me a call at the shop if you have any questions.  320- 693-2061.

P.S.  We not only sell the bows, we also warranty and service them as well.

I just talked to my buddy again and as soon as he hears about his permit we will make a trip to see MnArch. Probably in May or June. I will be down there for sure anyway to see about a new release or a different loop for my bow and maybe have the bow checked out.

Thanks for the help.

I shot the Horton stuff about a month ago and I thought it was pretty nice.  I'm not sure how the general public is going to receive the bows this first year, but I think they might have something with the bowline.  There's a lot of competition and I think Horton will have to really stick some money into advertising and make a big push.......But they have the company to back it up.

I have used my Horton Legend for about three years since I blew my shoulder out, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I managed to take a deer each season, with my furthest shot out to 37 yards. It has 175 lb draw and it's dead on. I've since healed, and am back to my compound.
