Thanks for all of the replies on my first Shoot don't shoot. I enjoyed reading the responses. Today you are rifle hunting when these 2 Does cross the field 50 yards from your stand. You still have 2 management tags to fill so tagging both deer is not a problem. Do you shoot not knowing exactly where the bullit will enter the second deer or do you pass.

Sorry, but I would still have to pass, and wait for a better shot.

So, nope

Not a good shot if they are moving.  However, if they are standing still I would aim about 9 inches from the does eye following down the neck.  That would take both of them.

I only bow hunt so 50 yards would be out of the question, but I would still pass at 25 yards with a bow.

any other time i would pass, but sense i have done this before (acciedently) with my 30-06 180 grain at 50 yards would be no problem, the bullet wouldnt change course that much after entering the first deer. aim for the middle of the lungs and wouldnt have a problem, but i wouldnt recommend it.

I'd for sure pass on that shot, only because my area has a lot of deer and i know i'd have another chance at them or different deer.

Good question though.....

I would shoot! I have never even seen a deer with 2 heads, 2 tails and 8 legs! I like the idea of not shooting. In the stand things process a bit stranger than at the pc however. Put it this way. I would tell a kid not to shoot, and I have a had time killing one deer at a time. So... aw heck I don't know. This is hard.... What the heck, SHOOT!!!! Honets answer. If another one came up within 8 seconds I could one up that youtube kid! I would call my video "3 deer, 2 shoots, 1 man, 8 seconds!"
Find a bird Duke... find a bird... ROOSTER!!! BANG! Bring it here boy. GOOD BOY DUKE, GOOD BOY!!!

Well I would have to pass as well, Buck, I shoot the same grain bullet through my 30-06 but with my luck I would wound the second deer and chase it all over gods green earth. In my opinion, its not the way I want to spend I deer season.

I have been in a similar spot before and passed only because the kill zone did not line up. It would have been a lung/Intestine shot verses a lung/lung.
But to be honest the opportunity to take 2 deer with one shot that would be a day you would not forget. If  I really felt it lined up I WOULD SHOOT
Are you a hunter or do you just kill things? Respect the wildlife!

If I am on the ground where the picture was taken from I think that I would take the shot.  If in a tree stand dont think that it would line up.  However, that would remain to be seen at the time.  I have never seen two deer like that so I guess I don't really know for sure.  Heck, most years I am lucky to see two deer!  Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
