Well I am starting to think about it more and more everyday. Anyone going to be on Mille Lacs for the opener??I think due to some classes that I am taking I will have to miss the opener! I like opener not so much for the fishing but for the season kick off party!

I took a frined out on Mille Lacs a couple years ago and he was doing the same thing....I think he puked over the side of the boat in Pat's Dads boat too. Funny thing was when we were fishing that evening he was on his knees throwing up over the side of the boat and reeling in a walleye at the same time ;D

I haven't decided where I'm fishing the opener yet. With the late winter we are having and the ice out date coming later than normal, it will depend on water temps for me.

i am supposed to work that weekend. no big deal, i do live on cove bay so every morning i come home from work i come home to mille lacs.

guidegirl,
try dramamine, they work great for me. i was the king of chumming  :puke:. i got alot of sleep in the front of a few different boats over the years. now when it looks like it is rolling a bit out there, i start with 1 tablet and take 1 more if it is really angry out there.............tom fellegy

Dramamine never cut's it for me.  I get it bad!  Now I get a prescription from my doctor for the little patch that you put behind your ear.  It works pretty good for me and last for 72 hours.

  :toast:   Here's to no puking  :puke: on the 08' Opener!!

4 MORE DAYS AND COUNTING!!!  Looks like the weather should be pretty good, let's all say a little prayer for that, because we all know that can change!  I'm getting pretty excited, it has been way too long since I've been out fishing and I can't wait!!!  I'm like a little kid in a candy store!  And hopefully those big roller's will cooperate with me this year and be on the OTHER side of the lake!!  Good Luck to all you Mille Lacs Lake Fishermen!!!  :party3:

i was putting a new battery in my boat and must have crossed the wires on my main motor and it actually started on fire and burned the insulation off of some wires. took it in to lyback's marine in isle, eddie and his mechanic were right on it, i wasn't there 2 minutes and they had the hood off and were seeing what parts needed to be ordered. now that is service. he said that it won't be until after opener until he will be able to get at it, but i still have the kicker and that will get me out to the point and troll raps. he will call me when the parts are in and. eddie has prospered from a few of my mistakes in the past, a lower unit on my searay just to name one. so my opener is going to cost me a few bucks. you what though, my wife started working her second job at reed's in onamia. they are going to work around her schedule at the state park, and she still cuts the grass, now thats what being a wife all about..............tom fellegy

I'm going to miss opener this year for the first time in a lot of years. I do have a good reason. I'll be turkey hunting with my son. I've got plans to hit the big pond mid week next week.
Walleye should be snapping on those rocks. :rocker;
