A Big Chair story

I have a very pleasant Big Chair story to share.

I have 2 of the Slumberjack brand - "Big Chairs" that I use for camping and ice fishing and just about anything I need a comfortable chair outside for.

The seat on one of them was showing some signs of wear and so I called the manufacturer in Colorado to see if I could buy a replacement seat. I hate to throw anything away when it could be easily repaired and reused. And the frame is in great shape.

The woman I talked to on the phone was very friendly and said unfortunately they did not make a replacement seat. She asked me how long I had had the chair - I said I thought about 5 years. She said that's about the limit of their warranty and she would go and see what she could do. I told her that on one particular trip I go on there's on guy who must weigh about 400 lbs. and he often seems to end up in my chair. And I told her how happy I have been with these chairs. She said she'd call me back.

About 5 minutes later she called back and said, "Here's what we're going to do dor you. We're going to send you a new chair. What's your address? She said it will take about 2-3 weeks to get the chair delivered."

About 3 days later the chair showed up. Apparently Browning has since bought out the company because it now has a Browning logo on it. The chair is beautiful. I'm thrilled. And to top it off I took the old chair to my sister and asked her if she could make a new seat for the old chair. She said sure. Soon I'll have three chairs.

Where did you get the info to contact them....I have 3 of these chairs...1 about 7 years old and trashed (I used to be a BIIIIG guy) one probably 3 years and really needs some work, and a brand new one....I would like to contact them about my 3 year old chair and see if they can do something..rivets are popping out, back webbing is shot, etc.

They are FANTASTIC chairs.....comfy too.....bought a couple knockoffs last year from Cabelas with side tables on them....nice chairs
