Caught this out of my canoe last weekend, with my ultralight spooled with 2# test....

Was a surprise from the nice crappies I was catching (10-11")

I would have to say that it is closer to 8 - 9 pounds.

That's my guess.....I catch a lot of pike.....most of my 28" are around 7.5 to 8
But, yours looks a little thicker, maybe it's the way it's hanging.
But I bet it's close.

The majority of the pike I have caught that weigh 11 - 12 pounds are around the 34" to 36" mark.
