Wednesday morning  5:00 am 6/11/08 Report

Fished from 5.00 am till 12.00 pm this morning with Roy Herman, son-in-law Scott and 8 yr old grandson Nick. We started out on the northwest end of the lake catching smallmouth and Scott lost a huge smallmouth that looked like the size of a turkey platter as it flashed just below the surface. We were working crawlers on a Carolina rigs in 14 to 28 ft.

Every time we would drift over the 25 ft break the giant gills would attack and every one was a dandy. We then swung over to the South shore and continued to catch smallmouth with a few largemouth mixed in. This was the first time young Nick had caught any smallies and you can bet it won't be the last time.

Wednesday afternoon 12:15 pm 6/11/08 Report

Picked up  Jeff Hull and his 86 year old dad Dean at 12:15 for an afternoon trip. The fishing was outstanding in the afternoon and the catching was even better. We hit one spot and never left the area for 4 hrs. The 2 guys kept me busy with the net most of the time. After a quick Kodak moment it was time to pack it in around 4:15 pm. This was Deans Fathers Day present and he loved every minute of it.

**Fish should smell like the tide. Once they smell like fish, it's too late.  :whistling:

See ya on the water,

Lee
