The bite this weekend was not too good for the "eyes".  I mainly fished Walker Bay with little results.  I did pull in several decent size perch off of Sandpoint.  I also did very well on northerns in the morning, I found that very early in the morning they were hitting pretty hard but slowed around 9 am, when I would guess they moved to deeper water.  I had about a 15 pound northern break me off next to the boat with 30 pound Power Pro line on my reel, which kinda ticked me off.  Then about 10 minutes later I had a large bass break me off again! >:( Now I was really mad and thinking Power Pro line was crap!  So I decided to check my eyelets and found that the eyelet on the tip had a piece chipped off of it which was cutting my line while fighting the fish.  I couldn't have asked for better weather though.  Next week I think it will be time to move to the bigger part of the lake and hit the flats out there.

That sound very frustrating. Operator error is one thing but when it is equipment error and your doing everything right I would be fuming!

Next time ;)
