Wife is gone for the weekend so some friends graciously invited me to a get together at their place on Beaver Lake tomorrow night. Am marinating some cubed lamb for shish kebobs to take along. Also plan on getting some of that salad with the grapes and broccoli manufactured between chores. After eating and drinking all the stuff they'll have, will need fireworks to keep me from taking a power nap.

The grill will be on most of the day, brats and dogs of course and a few portehouses will find their way come supper time for the big dogs. Pot of coney sauce on the side to dress up the dogs with and a laundry tub filled with ice and a assortment of beverages. 85 in the shade here and just like the 4th of July is suppose to be, weather wise!!!

Boy wasn't that the honest truth? Was partly cloudy and about 80 here. After grilling vittles to take to our friends place, scarfed down a couple burgers and proceeded to squeeze a quality nap in. Went over there and was just enough breeze to keep the mosquitoes at bay while consuming mass quantities of food and beverage. Evening came and so did the mosquitoes but we escaped to the middle of the lake in the boat to watch the fireworks overhead. Doesn't get any better than that.

we decided to stay home, grilled some steaks. daughters
ex boyfriend brought over some big fireworks, all the people
that live around here seemed to have big stuff too! the displays
around here were better then a lot of small towns. we sat out
in the front yard til 1 am and they were still shooting off stuff.
