No reports from people fishing for walleyes but a few from muskie fishermen. Jimmy picked up  2 muskies, a 45” and  51” (36 lbs). Russ & Marie went out and picked up 4 muskies but nothing over 50”. All were caught on the Sand breaks. Business has been slow and we are not seeing the fishermen like we did last year. We had an “in-house” fishing tournament on July 19th and no one won the biggest fish trophy (> 28”). Fishing was OK but not the greatest. Small mouth bass fishing has been great in the Rocks, just past the Red Door.

Vern and Cheese (2 of our RV people) were in a fishing tournament, this past weekend on the lake and they took 3rd place. Way to go Vern and Cheese !

Hey Randy - We stopped doing theater night once the weather got warmer. I think we stopped right after Memorial weekend. No, we were never visited and I am not sure why...maybe because the Health Department doesn't work on weekends? We are taking a break right now but we haven't quit. Theater nights will start back up in the fall sometime. I actually plan on cordially inviting the MDH to our first one in Fall. Been very busy and focussed on the upcoming elections this November. We need to get rid of those legislators that are "nanny's" on both side of the aisle. Did you hear the latest, South LA is banning any more fast food restaurants in their city. Say the kids are too fat and so they need restaurants that will serve healthy foods. I can't remember which county is banning the sell of cigerettes in pharmacies now and they hope it catches on with other counties and possibly expanding it to other stores as well. It is getting a little crazy out there! If your interested, we have a website www.banthebanminnesota.com . We have all the candidates listed that are running and have a scorecard for them. It is still in progress and much more information still needs to be added....but it looking good.

We still have one appeal out there by Mark Benjamin...he has 60 days to file his breif. There is a court date this Friday down in Iowa to repeal theirs. They feel they have a good chance to win.
