Hello I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this, I hunt out of a ground blind with the shoot threw screens and use mecanical broad heads.
I now have missed two deer about ten yards from me  :banghead: and was wondering if anyone else has had this happen? I thought one the first shot mabee I rushed it a little to much but tonight I watched the deer for about 15 mins. and came to full draw on her three time waiting to get a good clear shot when she finaly gave me one I drew once again and aimed carefuly then released, there was nothing in the way (on limbs,exc...) and I even aimed a hair low but the shot still went just over her back! So I was wondering if the arrows could be changing direction alittle when going through the screen? It leaves a hole in the screen about the size of a quarter but they are 1.5" dia. when fully opened cant remember what kind.
Do you think fixed blade broad heads would work better in this situation? I have never shot them and know noting about them.
Also just incase you are wondering if I am just practicing I can hit at 10, 20, and 30 yards all day long so my bow is sighted in, I do realize that shooting at an animal is different but like I said I took my time and made sure to get a good clear shot so.......... :help:

I do not have much experience but I would try target practicing from the ground blind so you know if the screen is a problem with your choice of tips. If it were, I would then change to a fixed blade.

You can't shoot the the mesh on blinds with mechanical broadheads! I tried while target shooting/simulating from my doghouse blind. It just doesn't work!

Yep.  mnnate is right.  You'll want a fixed blade broad head such as the G5 Montech for instance.   ;D
If ya don't know where ya are, go back to da beginnin.

All I know is a twig can change the direction, so I would think a mesh would also.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.  If
you can't eat it or hump it.

Piss on it and walk away

yeah thats what it is. you cant shoot the mechanical ones threw the mesh, it mess's up the arrow flight and opens the broadhead also so your losing the whole point of having a mechanical one anyways
