When Grouse hunting what time of day do you prefer? Are you an early or a late hunter?

When i get the chance to go I hunt most of the day with a couple of beer breaks. I am for sure an early morning hunter. Up before the sun and start hitting the trails with traces of gravel on them. Now I just need the population to go up. Any reports for this season?

I hunt both morning and evening. I'll take a break for lunch and maybe a little siesta.

I grouse hunt throughout the day.  My favorite time is early morning.

Mornings may find me goose/duck or bow hunting deer.  Also evening bow hunts are nice so that leaves mid day for chasing grouse.  I also use the time grouse hunting for scouting deer.

I target Woodcock, and it dont seem to matter when you hunt them. Grouse are just a bonus bird in my bag.

I really like the mid morning hunt.  8 to about 11 has been really prime for me.  My favorite time to go is after a rainfall.  Those dummies are like kids in a candy store on the trails then.  During early antlerless season I was blessed with filling my tags early in the am so I went grouse hunting that evening got two then 5 the next morning within about 3 hours.  Good Eatin!!
