I have talked to several people that have said the ticks are out in full force.  Both you run of the mill  (make your skin crawl) ticks and the (tiny little pain in the  :moon: deer ticks).  I just had a chat with the pups.  They are getting there summer hair cuts a little early this year.

Our dog is spoiled and gets to be in the house. So we get a few on us from him.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.  If
you can't eat it or hump it.

Dont forget to treat yourself with Doxycycline if you get a deer tick stuck on yourself...approx 40% carry Lyme or other bug that causes tick born Anaplasmosis ( this makes your white blood count drop down to almost nothing...like a pre leukemia).....I know of 4 people in central Minnesota that have gotten real ill from these ticks.  Cabelas has a nice set of tick protective clothing that is like super light longjohns with tight ankle, wrist and neck elastic ... didnt get a single tick stuck on me last year wearing them.... including turkey hunting, morel hunting, shed hunting and otherwise messing around in the woods.
