Matt shot this deer on a hunt in KY, he is on his way home now and the story will come later.  All I know is that Barry Kargas said " He is on his way home and has the head sitting on his passenger seat of his car"   score it think is 156 7/8

Does he personally know Greg Miller? Would be a treat to sit and talk with him. Always thought it would be fun to hunt with Michael Waddell. ohh ya that is a very nice buck too :dancinred:

Sturgis is about an hour from where I grew up.  Now I want to go visiting.  Not really.  I want to go hunting with Matt.   ;D

Well tell him we're all real hapy for him.   :happy1:

Thanks Guys,

I tell you what,  I have never seen as many deer as I did this last week in KY.  Game Trails has an excellent deer management program and I would attribute to all their success to letting the little bucks go, harvesting does, and good nutrition.  If you don't know I actually won this trip through the Archery Trade Association.  I feel very fortunate not only to win the trip, but have an opportunity to shoot a nice deer.

at 7:30  I had about a 125 inch 8 pointer 16 yards in front of my stand and man was I tempted.  But my guide Dan Thorstad had shown me a pic of a larger deer that had been in the area within the last couple days.  So I held out on the 8 pointer and sure as can be, 3 minutes later the deer in the picture came within 20 yards and had an arrow in it.  So thank you dad for allowing me to go in your place.  It's a sacrifice I really appreciate.

Matt
