I just finished the thermostat. I ran it for a bit and still no heat. I felt the upper radiator hose and that is at a comfortable temp. I felt the two hoses that you pointed out leading into the heater core and they are very hot. The one on the left felt a tad bit cooler but not much difference. What now!?  :banghead:

I just want some damn heat.......... :cry:

Make sure you don't have and air pocket in the cooling system. I just changed out my thermostat on my truck and took a while to get all the air out of the system. I don't know what kind of vehicle you are working on but the heater core is often one of the highest points of the cooling system and therefore that is where the air pocket goes. If you have an air pocket in the heater core you get no heat.

John, on the 98 explorer there was a big issue the air blend
doors breaking. I worked on Fords for 32 years so i no
a little about them. Give me a pm with a # i can call you at
& i will tell you what to look at

I just wanted to say thank again to everyone involved in this.

I stopped by "spuds" and he took a look at it and indeed it was the air blend door. Not an easy job  :cry:

He did get me in touch with someone that is going to do it at a reasonable price so I should have heat in no time!!
