I have not heard anything recently about the expansion, but Bass Pro Shops was going to be one tof the corner stores. Ikea will also be a corner store. But maybe the whole expansion is on hold. Most of the stores that were supposed to be in there are high end clothing anyway. I just want Bass Pro Shops. Cabellas isnt very close and even Gander closed all the store close to me and now I have to drive a ways to get to them. The closest thing I have now is Dicks Sporting goods. I am only a couple of minutes away from MOA.

Looking at the Bass Pro Shops web-site It shows all current locations and all future locations. No future locations are listed for Minnesota. Sorry!

Cabela's had plans to build tons more store too, a store in every state by 2012, but that isn't happening either.

But in my opinion thats OK because they are WAY overpriced and the employees are underpayed with employee "perks" down to nill. I usually go to Gander Mountain now.

The expansion at the MOA is being held up over a request from either Bloomington or the MOA for several hundred million dollars to help build the parking facilities. The MN. house turned it down the last time it was brought up.
There is a one time 350 million award to the MOA for building on the former site of the stadium .Evidently thats not good enough for them.

To bad it could put a lot of people to work.
