I was wondering if anybody had, or has, any interest in decoy carving.....or even old decoy collecting?

During the dead of winter, if I'm not out ice fishing....I like to wittle, or widdle (which ever is the correct term)

Here is a pic of a Mallard I did.....I'm no pro, but thought it looked pretty good!

I also collect old decoys, and if there is interest, I'll post some of um.

Nice looking bird. I wish I could said that I could do that. Have the ideas in my mind but can't tell my hands to do the same thing that I see in my head. Of course now if ya could do it with a belt sander! :happy1:

Thanks guy's!

It's just something that I tinker with, I've only finished a handfull.
I always liked wood working, and I took several art classes in school, and like to paint. Just figured I would combine the 2 to pass the time when I'm bored.

Then when I took the picture, I tried to get it in, what Don called his favorite light to take photo's. "low light situations"

The picture prolly looks better than the accual decoy.... :rotflmao:
