I was down in willmar at zero tolerance gun shop today and got into a conversation with a deputy sherriff. He told me that the DNR was going to have the laws changed to where many violations the local COs write tickets for would be reclassified as infractions. The big difference being that you (once being ticketed) would not have the right to go in front of a judge or the right to a trial. You would have the right to pay the preset fine or go in front of a referee whom I assume is appointed by the kgb..ooops I mean DNR.Now remember so far all I have is the deputys word for this but,I cant see why he would make it up.It seems the CO would be the judge jury and executioner.as far as I am concerned the DNR already persecutes the MN sportsman too much,I will see what else I can find out about this and post accordingly and I hope every other member does the same

That is kind of disturbing, yet cost effective in the court system's eyes.  Although, I still want the right to a fair trial before a judge and/or jury.  Which Amendment is that?

That would be scary. Got into a situation last year with a CO that said I shot a deer and let it lay. This was not true but he was convinced. Didn't get a ticket and was called and told they made a mistake. But what would have happened if this was issued?  :doah:
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.
