Spent the New Year's Holiday on Leech.  We caught several walleyes every day we fished.  A lot of small fish in the 10 to 12 inch range, which is a very good indication that the stocking program has been a success.  We caught plenty of fish for a meal and several very nice fish in the 22 to 25 inch range.  Jigging spoons with a fathead head was our best bait.  Experiment if fishing slows down.  Evening bite is best.  Also caught some nice perch and pike.

Now the bad news, travel on the lake is very tough.  A lot of snow and slush.  I would recommend using a snowmobile and to travel in pairs if possible.  Walker Bay is still not ready for any vehicle traffic.

Good Luck and Happy New Year,

Well at least you caught fish.  that does really suck that mobility is bad out there.  Hopefully things get better before the pout fest.
