Ice on Walker Bay has is still a problem for those who are trying to get out their larger pull-behind houses onto the lake.  We have several inches of ice on top of 4 to 5 inches of slush which is on 14 inches of good ice.  Not good on the tires or traction if you fall through.  Snowmobiles are the way to go with a portable.  Fishing was good this weekend as the guests did well with Perch and Walleyes 13 feet of water.

Thanks for the report!  Maybe-just maybe... this cold snap will somehow freeze up the slush to make conditions better/safer for everyone.  (no matter how unlikely this is)

Just wondering what the ice/slush/snow condition is like near town. I'm hoping that with all the cold we've had that it has finally firmed up.
