Pretty much hit and miss on all the area lakes, No real hotspots
to speak of. Crappies still in deeper water, 20 to 30 FOW.
Clear lake is starting to pick up a bit on the crappie bite.
Sunnies are being caught in shallow water on most area lakes.
Forest Lake is starting to get good on crappies in the deep holes
on 2nd and 3rd lakes. What we have seen on Forest Lake is Febuary
being the best time to catch big crappies for some reason. 15" to
18" are not uncommon.
Rainbow chubs been the all around best bait, blue and red jigs
have been good as well.
We do have shiners, but they go fast!
