I've been out in the garage a couple times looking over the boat and cleaning it up a bit.
Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold pint-- and another one!

I've gone through my tackle boxes a few times and writing down what I need to buy for the open water season.  So far the list is about a page and a half......................  Everytime I'm going through my boxes my wife rolls her eyes and mumbles something to the effect of "men and thier toys."     :nerd:

My open water is a little bit different prepping for. Head to Gander, buy a few larger floating raps, and a few smaller ones. Make sure the line is good on my couple spinning poles and my leaders are dialed in on my two four weights. Tie up some hair jigs, and a pile of different size bead head nymphs and call it good until beginning of April.

Troutin' I say! :woot: :woot:

I have a buddy down here that heads to the 'Sippi whenever there is open water, especially for those breedin hog 'eyes he catches. I have yet to take his offer to head down there in a parka and get my line wet, but I think this is the year!
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

I would love to fish the sippi this time of year.... Problem is, my 1957 9 horse evinrude might not suffice the current in the Mississippi. I have this saturday off. Is anyone heading out?... :whistling:
