Wednesday 8/16 I had the opportunity to fish with long time client John Schemeckle. John and I spend as much time screwing around and laughing as we do fishing. We fished an off shore bar on the north shore just before daylight since I had marked a lot of big fish there. Unfortunately as it turns out we were fishing bass and the arc's I saw were pike and they weren't interested in our offerings.

Figured it was time to move on so we headed west to the break line just west of the old academy site and found some nice smallies there and stuck it out for a while till it went dead. We then headed across the lake to Conference point where the action was spotty but worth the effort.

John and I wound up with 18 smallies and 2 pike. Always a fun time with Schemeckle and he always winds up making my 7 hr trip turn into 8 hrs, but the day flew by.

See ya on the water,
