I'm always looking for a deal or a bargain. was wondering if anyone was interested in sharing some of their greatest finds from garage sales, craigslist, auctions or what not...

randy was that the one in minneapolis? was there when he bought the house and just wanted it gone? I think was second in line for that one.

I picked up from craigslist a cast iron flying pig bank from the 20's for 10$ it's worth 120$.

at an auction a few years back I payed 10$ for a 6x6 table that opens up to 6x16.. it's solid walnut with hidden legs that pop out of the pedistal.

when gander closes a store I've always scored good. packs of treble hooks for 25cents, rocky snow stalkers for 30$, leapold 3x9x50 vxII for 150$...

like I said love a good bargain.

I think the best store deal I ever came upon was at a K-mart. They had some tool boxes with a 101 piece tool set they had on clearance. 79.99 for 5.99 No way could this be the right price. I asked the store manager is this the right price? he said yes, I then asked what are the tools going for, he looks over his clip board and says I guess they are included... I bought all five boxes before he could change his mind.. Gave them away as presents..  :happy1:

I've got some good deals. My Monster Fishouse came from Craig's List, Got a brand new Marcum LX5 for $400. I got a good sized wooden swing set for $50 and then got the pea gravel for under it for nothing all on Craig's List. Buy and sell a lot of kids toys and clothes on there. I keep a little account for my youngest, whatever I sell, I put in a jar and then buy her new stuff with that. Got her a battery powered four wheeler for $50 and she loves it.

Find all kinds of good deals at garage sales as well.

My brother bought a garman h2o gps on a garage sale for 5 bucks!!!  It was priced for 20.  He offered the lady 5 because there wasn't an owners manuel.  She just said "OK" :happybounce:

He already knew that I had just bought the same exact model a month earlier for about 150.  Every time I am using mine he always has to ask me how much I paid for it? :banghead:

Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

Craigslist is awesome.  I bought my oven, fridge, microwave and sink on there for less than half of new when we upgraded our kitchen.  I've also bought and sold numerous other things.

Kmart Clearance:  I got a brand new bowling ball for $7, it was orginally priced at $60, just had to pay to get the holes drilled!

walmart last year was clearancing out AA's and Nitro's for 5$ a box... I cleared the shelf of all loads.

years back when target was getting away from sporting goods I filled a cart with .75-2.00$ boxes of ammo for calibers I didn't even have just because they were giving the stuff away

I know walmart always has deals at the end of hunting season and so does fleetfarm. I can't remeber paying full price for anything that I have bought.

The best deal I got was at KMart about 12 years ago. I bought a Mossberg 500 on clearance for $74.88. I told them to box it up before they changed their minds. Still using today.
