my wife and i and another couple went to mille lacs for the first time this last weekend and we are sad to say that we are very dissapoited in the service and experiance we had at twin pines. maybe im being to needy but when we got there we grabbed a bite to eat well to start off there was only 2 peole running the bar, resturant, motel, and chack in-check out of shacks. we paid extra for a bathroom which consisted of a toilet seat above a bag (maybe that is just how it is so that is ok). we told them it was our first time ever up there all they did was send us to our shack and never told us what the depth was, what the bottom was, what to use for bait,or techniques to use. we tried to ask but like i said there was only 2 people there. we had to wait for a friend to come up who had a vexilar and gps to tell us what the water was like. so i guess next time i know what to ask before spending 450 on a shack or ill just bring my clam sleeper and rent a hotel. all in all we made the best with what we had and we caught 2 small eelpout so at least we didnt get skunked.  well good luck to all fishing and remember do a lot of research on the place you want to rent from. :banghead:

:sorry:  I have worked with twin pines alot and I am 100% sure if you talk to linda she will make it right with you.....as far as bathrooms that is what fishhouses have unless you really get fancy they dont have regular bathrooms and I have never seen one with running water although they probally have them...I have used twin pines and if they know you are not catching anything they move you to another house....I know any resort will work with you to keep you happy...thats how they stay in business....not by having unhappy customers so call linda you may be surprized how well she takes care of you

I've never dealt with with them except for the restaurant. We make a point to stop there for breakfast on the way up north. There breakfast is awesome.

Hope you can work it out using Crappie's suggestion. I have always looked forward to stopping in and I bet they would like an opportunity to make it right for you.

I've never been there before so I can't give an honest opinion about their business.  I do know however that from time to time every resort owner is going to have one person/group that isn't 100% satisfied with their services.   I cannot imagine trying to please everyone all the time.   My best advice is if ever you have a less than satifactory stay/experience someplace, let them know!  I'd be willing to bet that they will work with you to resolve the issue.  This does not only apply for this post, but all posts regarding experiences at resorts.  I wish you luck with this.

I have to agree with chuk here on this one I had simalar service , sprnding hard earned money shouldnt be difficult, and dont feel bad for one second about it. I have found through trail and error there are some good places around that want you to have a good time its all about customer serice , why spend your money where people could care less? :archery:
