LAKE - WALLEYE
Plenty of ice on the lake, the shorelines are ragged and access is limited to snowmobiles, 4-wheelers and foot traffic.   Mid-day action has been hit and miss with many large fish being seen out front of the Gap area (big females waiting to come up the Rainy for spawn) last few days.  Great mid-day action near Knight, Bridges and Garden Islands.  Pine Island mid-day action is spotty and improving as fish migrate to this staging area to begin the spawn upstream.  Open until April 14th and you can keep 8 walleye and sauger, no more than 4 can be walleye, 1 walleye can be over 28 inches and no walleye between 19.5 and 28 inches can be kept longer than it takes to get a quick picture.

RIVER - OPEN WATER - WALLEYE & STURGEON
Get your boats ready, open water at Birchdale and coming this way.  Small boats are sliding in!  Bigger boats are backing in! The water is up over the ice allowing trailer to launch, but do not back in too far allowing your trailer wheels to drop over the ice lip.  Get up here for the famous Rainy River pre-spawn action.  Good days can mean 100+ walleye per boat while you loose count on how many trophies you released.  Remember only 2 walleye under 19.5 inches and sturgeon is catch and release until April 23rd.

FOUR MILE BAY -  NORTHERN PIKE
Tip-up fishermen are getting more and more flags everyday now.  Smelt and herring have been the best bait and anglers are reporting many 30+ inch northern and several 40+ trophies.  Jigging for walleye nearby your tip-up fishing in the evenings is starting to produce some nice walleyes.  Remember all northern between 30 & 40 inches must be released after the pictures are taken.  You can keep 3 northern and only 1 can be over 40 inches.  Also Four Mile Bay is considered part of the Rainy River system and only 2 walleye under 19.5 inches may be kept.

Cabins only $29 per person per night.  Entertainment this Friday and Saturday.   Join us:
