Just wondering how many of you film your hunts?? Anyone actually prefer filming over hunting?

I love doing both. Any time I can spend in the woods hunting or filming is great. Of course I would rather hunt, but I do like to be out in the woods anytime. Always great to meet new people and learn new things on hunts from other people. I just use my older 8mm camera to video. Nothing great.
If today was perfect. There would be no need for tomorrow.

My friends and I just started getting into filming hunts this past deer season.. After my friend bought a HD camcorder we were pretty pumped for turkey hunting.  We ended up getting a lot of good footage including:  My dads kill with the gun, my friends miss with the bow, my brothers miss with the gun, a hen that was strutting/ fanned out, and lots of other footage of turkeys.

Filming is a lot harder than it looks, especially when you leave the blind and run and gun.  For me, filming is every bit as enjoyable as being the one who is pulling the trigger.   If I can, I will eventually post some of the footage on youtube.  but it may take a while.

There was some video floating around awhile back that showed how this guy had mounted a camera to his stabilizer. The camera had a decent sized memory card and he recorded the deer coming in and the shot. It turned out pretty well. Seems like something easy to do.

I did a little searching around and found this little device. .

I just started filming my hunts.
I purchased everything just before Turkey hunting.
I did get allot of footage but I did not get my kill on film due to a friend of mine.

I did put together my first DVD and cant wait for the next hunt!
The camera I purchased will zoom up to 450 yards and the Turkey looks like its two feet in front of you.

On the camera for your bow. There is a stabilizer camera out there now. It looks just like a stabilizer with everything inside. It's around $489.99.

I like the hunt but also like to film.

Not a bad price. I might have to get one. At least for fun.
