I was stung by a bee in the forearm yesterday afternoon, this is only the 2nd time I have ever been stung.

I scraped the area with my credit card to see if I could remove any possible stinger, it's still very swollen and my arm feels like its as hard as concrete. It's not real painful, just very discomforting....

Is this normal? Should I do anything else? I felt fine yesterday but today I feel a little weak, kind of like I have the flu or something.

I'm the type of person that always thinks it will just go away on its own, my ex wife would always get mad at me and tell me to take better care of myself. I'm thinking I should just wait and see if it gets better on its own....????

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

:( you will probably be ok after that long, i am alergic? to bees my self. if you have no side afects such as hard to breath or vision problems . with be stings it depends a on your level of ?tolerance to the venom . breathing problems take place in or about ten minutes. if you made it this long you are probably safe. but its better to be safe then sorry , as for the weakness that shows that you have a low tolerance and should watch out later on for further bee stings. ?the swelling and discomfort you are feeling will go to a needle and pin sensation and itching at the end of the symtoms . you can get a perscription from your doc. of epeneferion or an epp pen.to carry with you. ????

Yep, any antihistamine cold tablet will work.Best to double up on the dose as well, take at least 40 to 50Mg.

I am allergic to them little buggers, but I quit paying the high price of perscription meads when I met my girl friend and her Dr at the clinic she works at.

He said all the meads were are antihistamines to block the bee venom.
Calimine will south the sting and itch.

Gently massage and hold a piece of raw onion on the sting immediately after you have been stung. Then wash area and apply some Neosporin. Works for me! DIRTBALL2 ;)

Baking power with a little water on it on a gauze pad will reduce teh swelling and bring the stinger to the surface.

Always worked for me, especially when me and my buddy sat rught under a beehive while hiding from the neighbor kids during a hide and go seek game...  :-\  I think we both had around 20 spots now I HATE BEES!!!

Good reminder to throw some Benadryl in the first aid kit too.
