Due to computer meltdown I've be unable to submit recent fishing reports.  So, if you'll bare with me I'll try to retrace my trips and get up to date on current reports.

Monday June 1st Report:

Today I fished with 3 pals that grew up in Park Ridge, Il. Well, actually they never actually fully grew up and that made today's outing more fun. Steve, Scott & Mike had found more categories to wager on than I could imagine. Most total fish, most game fish, first fish, biggest fish and on and on. These guys were prime candidates for my new Fishing Poker game.

Each crew member was dealt 4 cards after throwing a buck in the pot. I then set a timer for a one hour period. For each game fish caught per individual during the one hour period another card was dealt. At the end of each hr the person with the best hand won the pot.

Ya Ya what about the fishing? We wound up with a mixed bag of smallies and largemouth with most of the fish being smallies. Best depth was 16 ft back trolling Lindy Rigs.

*Nothing is more saddening to an honest angler than the sight of fish dying in polluted water, and that is chiefly because he looks on fish as his familiar friends, and grieves that they should be so sadly used.

See ya on the water,
