OK, so today around 3p.m. I get home from work and shower up blah blah blah . Go out side grabbed my lawn chair , listening to the radio and just relaxing watching the kid play with the toys I notice a red van from the corner of my eye coming down the street . I glance over and watch this van smash into my bass boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :banghead: :bonk: :censored: :censored: So I jump up because this van is starting to drive away ! I run down the drive way hollaring at the driver to stop. He does (thankfully) I call the cops , tell them what just happened. The older fela gets out of the driver seat and unloads 3 kids pry age rangign around 3-5 years old. Funny thing is , There was no child seats in the van! One kid was in the fron seat and the only english he knew to say was "yes" and "no"! Long story short I will be getting a new boat and he has a wrecked van.

I guess the new boat is good news.  Did he put a hole in yours?  I can't quite tell from the picture.

I assume that by the way you explained you were getting a new boat, he had insurance. It's a good thing you were out there!
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

Wow, glad you were out there or you wouldn't have gotten it covered. I can't believe how folks to take responsibility for their actions anymore. Did he get sited for no car seats?

There is a small hole but more importantly he compromised the transom and possibly shattered some glass inside the left rear corner or where the motor mount bolts are attatched. It happened 20 feet away from me so it was crazy.
snadman: no he was not cited because the cop  "didn't whitness" the kids in the van . by the time the cop got there the drivers daughter and son showed up in their vehicles and had kids in there seats. The cop did talk to him about it but i'm shure he didn't understand

I get the estimate back tommorow so i'll report back .
