I've got me  a little huntin shack tin roof... all the fun fixings I could find on craigslist or the curb.. the one thing I'm missing is water... and electricity.  what do you other guys out there do for water? I'm toying with the sand point for water.. but have the idea that maybe it's not worth the effort. I drag up gallons of water for now. but have looked into getting a 15 gallon water tank (they sell em for the RV's).. but was wondering what some of you other guys have done. or if I should just keep dragging up the 4-5 gallon jugs I have.

Electricity will depend on access to main line.  Or use a generator.

Sand point will work, but I don't believe it is potable water.

Depends on the area. Someplaces you need to go so deep you can't do a sandpoint. For many yrs people been living off sand points. Nowdays you can't sell a house w/o a deep well. My pop used to drill wells he knows bout that stuff, I don't.

Most tap water is better than boughten bottled water. Don't worry bout tap water as far as drinking unless it's really bad.

thuderpout I think your right, we're going to have to do rain barrels... I'm thinking I need to get some of the big blue culligan bottles for drinking water. we've picked up some of those solar lights at medarns they work ok but not really good for playing cards and stuff
