We have decided to give the political board a little bit of a break here at MWO.  I understand that a lot of you like to talk politics, but it is just getting to the point that it is a headache for our staff to keep up with.  Hopefully everyone here can respect this decision.

Not a problem.  I have not or don't run a website, but could you explain what you have to keep up with?  By that I mean.  That I do believe it may take a lot of time to run the entire site but what specifically do you have to "keep up with" with just the political board that takes so much time and effort?

I personally am not complaining about my time, but I hear a lot of complaints from staff and members about what happens on the political board.  No one gets paid to be here so I would like to keep the problems to a minimum.  The political board has been a problem lately and this is how it is being taken care of for now.

i say its the constant personal attacks and name calling and the arguements tend to stray out of the political board and spill out into the other forums

That only happened 1 time that I can remember where it left the political forum.  I erased what I wrote and said I was sorry in the mountain lion thread.  Heck don't punish the rest of the people for something I did.  Plus if it's not your cup of tea don't go there.  I know I don't give a rats butt about Photography so I don't visit that section. Not that there isn't some tremendous things in there or anything like that.

This has nothing to do with what one member did.  We have had complaints about this board for quite awhile and this is the solution for now.

I hope Cody's last post wasn't directed at me.  Anytime someone asks a question I have some knowledge on I will gladly and do help out.  In case you haven't seen my post of my leech lake vacation that took me over a half hour to do.  I also read every post in sections I have interests and knowledge about.  If there was a section on Willmar-Spicer area lakes I'd post there too, but because I don't fish the lakes or areas that are listed I don't even bother looking at them.  Minus a couple trips a year I make to the pond and the annual trip I will be making to lake of the woods after last year.  Plus now that I'm thinking of it didn't a person have to ask to be allowed into the political section?
