When I caught my 36" Pike this year we had a discussion as to which way to net the fish. I wanted it netted head first and my net man wanted to do it tail first. Which way do you prefer?

This didn't take place around the Baudette area did it? My brother told me about an argument like this that went on up there.

I like to swim them into the net head first. You can chase a big fish tail first around trying to net it or get the net in front of it and let it swim in.

Anyway that gets the fish safely into the boat. I netted 36" and my buddy my 34" pike tail first because the net was smaller and the tension on the line it made more sense to get her from the back.

Maybe its time for a bigger net?
