I've been reloading for almost 2 years now so I by no meens have a ton of experiance. The best thing I can tell you is to get a COUPLE of manuels and read, read, read! ABC's of reloading and the latest Lymanns(49th) book are very good. I reload for 9mm, 45acp,.223,22.250,270wsm, 7mm.08,.308,30.06,45.70. I do it to save money and improve accuracy over factory loads. It def. has paid for itself over this summer with crazy ammo prices. I use a rcbs rockchucker. Picked up there supreme reloading kit for a good price. My suggestions for what you are going to reload for, I'm guessing deer guns/hunting, would be to get decent dies. I like the rcbs and lee dies that I have. Good luck.

I have no experiance with the lee kit. I have the rcbs rock chucker supreme kit. It has just about everything you will need to start loading. I think I added a digital caliper($25-needed), and a tumbler for cleaning brass($60-not really needed), and the dies you listed. If you buy lee dies they come with the shellholder that you will need. I will say that Lee makes great products.
Here are some costs for my loads:
223 rem-$27-31 per 100rds (27 for hp, and 31 for hornady vmax)
22.250- $31 per 100rds.
270 wsm- $9.40 per 20 rds. (factory ammo in the stores are $30-60 a box)
30.06- $9 per 20rds.
I will say this: If you don't plan to shoot a lot you will be better off saving your money and just buying factory ammo, especially for the calibers you listed. I shoot 2k+ 223 and 22.250 rds a year for varmits and p.dogs. My biggest savings are for my 270wsm. I save at least a buck a round.

Where the heck do you shop that you can't find 270's for under $30 bucks? For them kind of prices everyone should reload. Opps missed the wsm part, now it makes sense.

The only experience I have is with old herter presses. Have a couple now but thats what I started with 25 yrs ago and work good for me. I have heard good things about RCBS but don't know of anyone who has a Lee press. I will say this it's my opinion as well as most other I know that reload, Lee makes the best dies.

As mnate you will save money on rifle reloads going for accuracy is where you can come out most by tailoring a round to your gun. Best way to start that is get the rifle gap as close to .000 as possible
