I am thinking about getting a climbing stand.  Logistically, my current stand would require at least two trips.  Any recommendations?

I've got a gorilla climber, seems to be easy to assemble onto the tree, pretty lightweight for carrying in, and quiet enough when scaling the tree.

Determining your length of stay should be the determining factor on comfort. Do you want to stay all day? If so, you better get something you can sit comfortably in for at least ten hours  :banghead:, which I cannot personally do (most for me is 4-6). So my climber really isn't for comfort, as much as it is for size/weight.

I have a cheap climber from walmart. It is pretty comfortable to sit in although I have not sat more than 6 hours in it yet. The downside is it is heavy. I put some straps on it and carry it like a backpack but when you get in thicker woods and underbrush it is impossible to move quietly without catching it on branches and such. It works for me though and didnt cost much.

I love my tree saddle.  4 pounds and I can use any tree.

Bought mine on ebay for 100.  It took me 4 months to get one that cheap but I saved a ton.

I have been researching climbing stands as well and have owned one.  I have asked a lot of people questions about theirs and have found out some cool things.  First off I want one to be able to go deep into the woods and stay all day.  That being said the over whelming majority of people have said sacrifice the couple extra pounds and get the biggest one you can afford.  They have also said Lone Wolf are the best all around.  The final comment is you get what you pay for.  I plan on saving some money this off season and getting either the Summit Titan or the top of the line Lone Wolf.  I just want to be comfortable and be able to sit for long periods of time.

This is the only kind I have ever used and my buddies have about every other brand out there including the summit and after trying this one they all say they wished they had saved up the cash.

I have hunted out of a summit python for years and love it. It has a bar that can swing up for a rifle rest or down for a footrest to bowhunt with nothing in the way. It really locks to the tree well.

I use a loggy bayou mega transformer and have no complaints. Its easy to use and pack in and comfy for all day use. Ive used it two years and its my first climber. Picked it up on cl for $125.
