I got a doe in a managed area.  Am I now limited to bucks if I hunt that area?  (Not a problem, I'm more interested in getting a buck anyway, now).  Also, if you get a bonus permit (not lottery) for one managed area, can you use it in another managed area?

If you got a bonus permit the first permit should be for either sex.  The only restriction in those areas is that the bonus permit has to be antlerless.

It depends if you used your regular license to tag the deer. A bonus tag is antlerless only. Managed areas are buck or doe with regular license. You may take another antlerless deer (under 3"antlers) with a bonus tag.

Very true Ken, your "primary" tag is what you can use for buck/doe (in most areas), and your bonus is only for antlerless. If you tagged it with your primary tag you can only shoot a doe and tag it with your bonus permit.

As for tagging deer in another area with your bonus tag, not sure on that one. I would assume your primary tag you bought was for a certain zone along with your bonus tag, and usually you would have to hunt within those boundaries (down in the south we have to). I am a little unsure on this, so I would ask a CO.

A bonus tag is good for all managed or intensive harvest areas and all seasons, bow firearm or muzzle.except that special 300 something area.

If you are hunting in managed you can take two deer.Your bonus is good for one doe only. The License is good for buck or doe. you can hunt in all zone but keep in mine that if you move to a lottery area you can only take a buck with that license. You can all so move to a zone that is intensive and buy up the three more bonus that three more does. You can only hunt the zone if they are open. You can't shot two in managed area with a gun and then come back a take two more with a bow. If you are in the managed area a go with a gun and shot a doe and gun is now close you can buy a bow license and take one more buck or doe but if you take a buck with a gun and you buy a bow license you can not take a buck. You can only a doe.You can only take one buck a year.
That what happen to that guy with that big 8 point he had shot two deer one doe and one buck with a gun and buy a bow license and shot the 8 point buck you can't shot more then one buck a year.

You can shoot more than 1 buck a year. If you are party hunting and someone else doesn't mind if you shoot their buck for them. :drinking:

well in sake of arguement, yes you can tag two bucks with your own tags, just one has to be shorter than three inch antlers.
