does anyone south metro, closer to Hastings the better, have a log splitter I could use for about 10 minutes?  I cut a bunch of dead elm trees down a few weeks ago that died a few years ago and were still standing.  I split by hand about a cord and a half of wood, but I have about 6 or 7 pieces of the main trunk that there is no way I am splitting by hand, and I am not going to rent a splitter for a half day just to do 6 or 7 pieces.
SO... does anyone in the area have a splitter that I could come over and use?  I will drive there and do it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

THANKS!!
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

Give them a few more years and you can split them by hand.  Elm is a really hard wood to split.  I have a few chunks from a tree that fell down a couple of years ago that I still can't split.

Hey John, I'll borrow you my MONSTER MAUL :taz:..... Its a 2" pipe with a 10lb wedge welded on the end.... works really well!  It can be a bit tough on the back splitting a cord though! :whistling:
