I noticed the lake board is under child boards. Why doesn't this site have specific boards for different lakes?

That would involve over 10,000 different boards... I think the reasoning is that most of them would be posted on 1x/year if that. The area lakes boards (ie. st. Cloud area - brainard area) arn't exactly bursting at the seams. One nice thing people can do is put the lake name in their post under the area board's. That helps navigate through the site.
