Cold weather was upon us big time Saturday morning as we hit the lake with a 6 mile ride on our ice sleds to the spot on the spot. On the ride out I was thinking that this cold snap would slow the bite. We had perch and walleyes going in and out on the flasher all day long. The lake is holding a strong year class of 12 inch walleyes which need to be released. Jigging spoons tipped with a whole minnow or head is the way to go. Sunday the bite slowed.  We hit 4 mud flats before connecting in 24 feet of water on a north mud flat. The weather looks likes it’s going to be in our favor for a while.

Good luck, be safe and we'll see you on the ice!
