We headed over to Leech this weekend ...great weather... for a pre Eelpout tournament  scouting trip.   We used Scott's (DDSBYDAY) jigs and the big perch ate them up.. here are a couple of pics.

Pout were biting also! :fishing2:

Very nice perch.  It looked like those  were  the 1/4 oz. size.  Did I send you any 1/8oz?
Good luck next weekend chasing the slimers.

Yep they were the 1/4oz jigs, had them on from walleye fishing and these worked just fine for the jumbo perch....   I do have some of the 1/8oz but didnt use them.  I like the bigger treble on the 1/4oz or the 1/8oz tipup jig with the bigger treble for  the jumbo perch.

Eelpout was caught on a rock hump 25' of water, big shinner minnow and Scott's glow 1/4oz jig.  I always use some kind of glow jig for pout.  Two big fatheads would also be good.  THat Pout will go into the pot next weekend for Pout Chowder!

I love it.  The "Jaw-Breaker" claims another species.   Good luck next weekend Corny13.  Thanks for the pics.  The eye bite around here is slowing down.  My guess is with all the snow the O2 levels are shrinking.
