I am tired of dealing with ice and snow balls on my dogs feet...who has experience with either of these?

Ive heard of the wax thing, but never used it(on my dogs... ;)) but I have used a few different type of the muck/snow boots... I dont have any for my current dog, but the ones I liked best were the cordura nylon type, some have rubber soles, which wear much better.  You still should tape them on as I have lost too many in deep snow.... always when i was "just gonna do a quick push" on a small area... so I used to have a really mismatched set of three different colors.  So my advice is just buy black ones, ;D and be prepared to have some patience, some dogs take to them right away, some HATE them and will sit there and not move when ya put them on! :rotflmao:  Its pretty humerous watching the dog getting used to them, they walk around like their feet are stuck in glue or somthing... good funny video material. ;D  But yeah, if you do any late season bird hunting, or even just running dogs in the winter, they're nice, plus the salt doesnt get to their paws, and you wont lose a dog for the winter to those painful torn/injured claw/nail and pad injuries....

I use boots.  My dog figured out they helped, though she did prance around in an annoyed way the first time.  I will have to try the tape, because I have lost a few, too.

Never trust a man without a vice, cause if he's hiding it, it must be real bad.

A friend of mine from ND gave that Mushers secret a try, and he basicly said when it's gone he won't buy any more. It helped, but he had to re apply every 1/2 hr.
When you think you are smarter then your dog, ask yourself, "Who cleans up who's poo"
