I posted this in the archery forum also. Minnesota Deer classic starts One week from today at the Minnesota Fair grounds.  I hope everyone gets a chance to check it out.

last time I went was about 5 years ago.. the wall of shame was interesting.. otherwise I was unimpressed for what it cost

Yeah, I used to go every year... seems its geared now just for people scoring their bucks or shed scoring....isnt there more to deer hunting than that? :whistling: they used to have a guy with his game farm deer there, and it was interesting to see the rack development of different deer from year to year... I'm surprized at the turnout they get for basically a "get your antlers scored" venue... but then again, there's not much going on this time of year , except maybe the High School hockey tourney. ;)

I like going, lots of stuff for the kids, new gear to check out. And I also like the FREE seminars from deer and bear to turkey. I learned a lot at a bear seminar years ago there and shot my first bear that next year on a do it all myself hunt. If there’s something you want to learn more about just look around and you will find a booth that has the answers you need. And when my kids go I get to catch a trout too. I eat before I go to save some $ and parking is free. And yea I do look at all the antlers too

look for the seminar listing on the deer classic web site

If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

I thought I saw that they had the antlers, or the sheds from the previous year on a mount and would have it on display... saw it in the paper.....

As far as I know they do not. A huge down fall of the Deer Classic! It would be a lot of fun if they had some shoots in there, something to do.

Stop in and see LandDr.  He has a booth there.  Habitatnow or prairie land something.  There will be a Jaw-breaker jig display at his booth.  Should be fun.

I'll have to stop by tomorrow. Today was a great day! A lot of people by the booth.

i was there on friday...not as much stuff anymore...still some interesting booths...might just be me but i dont know what a trip to florida or the wisconsin dells have anything to do with the minnesota deer classic or hunting and fishing in general. met up with mno and a few of the midwest whitetail prostaff and i bought my new camera mount for my bow to try out. this one looks like it will work better.

MNO what were those game cams that were mentioned in our conversations?
